Want to discuss specific travel dates or additional levels of luxury? Blue Beta Tours is happy to work with you to create a custom itinerary and an unforgettable climbing vacation.
The Beta
Our mission is to provide you with an unforgettable and unique week of climbing and adventure in one of the most beautiful places in the world - the French Riviera. We take care of all the details so that you can maximize your time on the rock and enjoy all the Mediterranean has to offer.
The fully supported trip starts when we pick you up at the Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport and begin our tour of the fantastic limestone crags of the Alpes-Maritimes to the north and east and the red granite of the Esterel Massif to the west, all sitting above the sea and surrounding picturesque towns like Èze, Antibes and Monte Carlo. With our small group sizes, you will get to know your fellow climbers as we eat in hand-picked restaurants and stay in hotels and/or villas (depending on group size) that give a true flavor of this magical area of the coast.
Sport climbers will be amazed at the number of routes that cover this region of France, with crags like La Turbie, Le Baou de St. Jeannet and Le Dramont, all incredibly well-bolted and perfect for lead climbers looking to push themselves without being afraid of the falls that accompany the old-school style of protection found at many U.S. crags.
The Skills
Please note: while we take care of every other aspect of your trip, we do not provide instruction or guiding service on the rock!
Accordingly, our trips are designed for those who are comfortable lead climbing at a minimum level of 5.8 and have a firm handle on safety systems, including setting up sport anchors and rope management.
Those who know how to lead belay only are also welcome if accompanied by a lead climber. If you have questions about suitability, please don't hesitate to contact us.
